While you may be experiencing a wide range of unwelcoming emotions, it is safe to say Grossmont College offers various opportunities for students to aim for success, from financial Aid to clubs and centers. Grossmont is in full support of Academic success, allowing students to have the resources available to them.
This opportunity is significant for an individual to further their knowledge. There is a need for acknowledgment that outside of your degree, there will be competition- being yet assured you are qualified to be in a position of high demand can help you be confident. Many students might suffer from Imposter Syndrome, where one can feel like a fraud after accomplishments but back it up with credibility. This emotion can get in the way of your career, having the chance to create a harmful impact.
If you are a student or know someone who is having doubts about their potential, encourage them to plan a visit to the student service career center located in Bldg. 60 across from the cafeteria. Hours are from Monday to Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Career Specialist, Garret Peregud worked for 6 and a half years aligning students for a successful career path to develop new skills to meet employer’s demands at the center. Unfortunately, most students do not have the guidance to understand the process or how to interview.
Peregud specializes in giving extensive guidance for one’s career to an overview of how their career path will look like. “We prepare them for the workforce,” Peregud said. The Career Center holds promises to fulfill employment challenges and provide the necessary training for the ideal employee standards a job can hold.
